Q: You have such a beautiful voice and a lot of your fans would like to know more about you. Can you please tell us a little about yourself?
Stephenie: Well, to start it off, my name’s Stephenie (spelled with 3 e’s and not Stephanie, like the Twilight author! Haha!). I was born and raised in New York, and am currently a last semester senior in high school! I plan to attend NYU in the Fall of 2011.

Q: Do you realized how popular you are now on YouTube and Facebook, and how everything went viral with your version of “Love the way you lie?” What do you think about all this attention and how do you handle it?
Stephenie: To tell you the truth, I made my YouTube account in September of 2010 to use as a supplement to send to colleges and didn’t think it would get a lot of views but to my surprise, one morning, I woke up and one of my favorite YouTube artists, Joseph Vincent, subscribed to me and that’s when the view count started to go up. It was pretty crazy because people in school would tell me that their friends in China or California told them to watch this video of a girl singing and they found out it was me! To tell you the truth, I’m not even that popular on YouTube, but I still really appreciate all my subscribers that stuck by me during me 5 month hiatus. I mainly deleted my account because I thought I didn’t need it anymore after I got accepted into NYU but I found out that many other people were reuploading my videos and stuff so I just decided to go back on to YouTube.
Q: Does popularity change your lifestyle yet or offered you any surreal opportunities?
Stephenie: Haha, well, I’m not even all that popular but there was once a time when I was at the mall and someone asked me for my autograph! And that was pretty exciting! It’s also pretty cool to see that the people in my school and random people from other schools know who I am because of my YouTube.
Q: If for example you are auditioning for American Idol, what song do you think you will sing and why?
Stephenie: I personally don’t think I would ever audition for American Idol because I’m definitely not as good asthe other people who audition. But, if I were to audition, I’d probably sing “Don’t Know Why” by Norah Jones. I’m not really the type to belt out notes and so I like the mellow-ish types of music.
Q: What kind of music do you listen to today?
Stephenie: I usually go into all these different phases of music but right now my playlist on iTunes consists of:
1. The Show Goes On – Lupe Fiasco
2. Hazy – Rosi Golan
3. Waka Waka – Shakira
4. Look At Me Now – Chris Brown
5. The Prayer – Kid Cudi
6. Coming Up – Lupe Fiasco
7. Soundtrack 2 My Life – Kid Cudi
8. We’re Done – Wiz Khalifa
9. Memories – David Guetta ft. Kid Cudi
10. ET – Katy Perry
11. Already Taken – Trey Songz
12. Broken Strings – James Morrison ft. Nelly Furtado
13. Talking To The Moon – Bruno Mars
14. King of Anything – Sara Bareilles
15. Diary Of Jane – Breaking Benjamin

Q: Have you ever been signed up by a record label? If not, where can we get a copy of your songs?
Stepenie: Nope, I’ve never been signed by a label and my covers can be downloaded from my 4shared account (http://www.4shared.com/folder/2b0eQlq6/_online.html)
Q: What do you like to do other than singing?
Stephenie: Other than singing, I like to play volleyball and just hang out with friends. Whether we just go to the movies, mall or just play xBox, I’m the type of person that just has fun as long as my friends are there.
Q: What is your least favorite music genre and why?
Stephenie: I’m not a big fan of country or Heavy Death Metal. I’m a big fan of really heartfelt lyrics, and although these genres may have good lyrics, I just can’t bring myself to enjoy listening to these songs and sing along. It’s really important for me to be able to sing along to the songs I listen to!
Q: What else can we expect from you in the future?
Stephenie: Hm…Well, hopefully everyone can expect more covers from me on YouTube because I plan to be just uploading random covers and whatnot. Other than that, I’m not even sure what to expect from myself!
Q: Do you have any celebrity crush?
Stephenie: Hahaha, oh man, way too many! But the ones that have stuck around are David Beckham and Terrence Howard. I’m sure there are more, but I just don’t remember them.
Q: What is your dream performance? Where and what song do you imagine to be singing?
Stephenie: My dream performance would be to perform with Bruno Mars or someone who shares the same passion for music as me. As corny as that may sound, I sing because I love singing. Actually, to tell you the truth, I’d probably be too intimidated to sing with someone as good as Bruno Mars. I’d probably like to sing the song Hazy and other chill songs.

Q: If you would have a chance to sing duet with anyone who would it be and why?
Stephenie: It would probably be either Bruno Mars or Lupe Fiasco.
Q: What is your ultimate dream career?
Stephenie: To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I just want to be happy with what I’m doing and be successful in whatever I do. I just want to be able to love what I’m doing.
Q: Are you taking any singing lessons? Are you taking any step to make singing a career or will it just stay as a hobby?
Stephenie: I have never taken a singing lesson or guitar lesson or any other music lesson. I just kind of play whatever sounds right. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to make singing a career because I honestly don’t think I’m all that good so I’ll probably just keep it as a hobby.
Q: Message to yours fans and what are your official Facebook fan page, twitter or youtube links?
Stephenie: Hey guys! It’s StephenieGee and I just wanted to thank all of you guys for subscribing to me and sticking with me these past few months! I know I haven’t been keeping up with my videos but I’ll be sure to try harder to get more up!
