Fashion Word of the Day: Minaudiere

What is Minaudiere: Minaudiere is a French word.  It is a small clutch women use during an evening party or cocktail which carries the lipstick, some money or little trinkets that go with her.  It usually doesn’t have a handle or strap.  In case that it does, the strap is usually a thin chain tucked inside.   This is often mistaken as a handbag or evening bag, but it is not.  Again, it is called Minaudiere.

How to Pronounce It:  Click this link to listen or simply pronounce it as [min-oh-dier]
