2. Evernote

Gone are the days that I use “stickies” or Post It for reminders or notes. Evernote is the new productivity tool I use to write my reminders, notes, thoughts, list, To Do’s and just about everything! It synchs with my iPhone, home computer, work computer anywhere! In the beginning, I wasn’t sure what to do about it. I didn’t see (right away) what’s so special about it. I mean, it’s nothing but an electronic note. But as soon as I started using it and move all my notes to Evernote, it immediately becomes one of my best productivity tools.

3. Nutella and GO! Snack

Both kids and adults love it. I love it. It’s a yummy snack. Something new (and better than) Yan Yan or Pocky sticks!

4. Summer polish (see picture above)

I am not a big Neutrogena fan. In fact, I don’t like their line of makeup products because they are usually not compatible with my skin. Somehow I break out when I use their products except for this Neutrogena cleansing towelettes makeup remover. It’s ultra-soft, glides smoothly on my face like silk and dissolves all traces of makeup even waterproof mascara! It does its job so well when removing my mascara that my eye lashes don’t come off unlike other makeup removers. Very gentle on the face. Now I stopped using my other (liquid) makeup removers and started using this.

You may find two kinds of towelettes. One with the blue sticker (as shown on photo) and one with white. I use the blue just like in the photo and it has better reviews. So I stick to this kind.

I love the color, the style and the subtle split at the back of this maxi dress. This is the style you know that would be timeless. Very easy to accessorize too. I could imagine pairing this with a gold chain necklace or multiple single strands of necklaces. If you’re not into necklace then you can pair this too easily with stacked cuff bracelets. Watch Out! After BB Cream there is now CC Cream!

Makeup trends are moving so fast. I’m not even finished with my BB cream bottle and I just talked about BB creams the other day. Now moving on (and fast!) we are officially into CC Creams. What’s next? Would it be DD creams and stands for Double Dilemma (for putting too much beauty cream on the face), Double Damage or Done Deal (because your face became so beautiful after using the DD cream and you can officially say that this is Done Deal?) Okay, I am making all these abbreviations up.

Kidding Aside, CC cream stands for Color Correcting cream or Color control cream. It is supposed to be the improved and refined version of the BB cream also known as the blemish balm or beauty balm cream. The original BB cream was originally formulated in Germany and has in recent years gained a huge following in Asia and is quickly made its way to Europe and the USA for its skin-regenerating properties. But watch out for CC cream, it is giving BB cream a run for its money as it is becoming popular too now around the world to provide natural-looking skin coverage with the hope to replace the BB cream. While BB cream was manufactured primarily as a skincare product, CC cream was developed to retain all the skincare benefits of BB cream with added nourishing ingredients and the additional purpose to provide more effective skin coverage.

BB promised to be everything primer, tinted moisturizer, SPF then CC promises to be all that and more! It’s like BB cream on steroids!

This Marchesa Resort 2012 dress appeared in Vogue is so gorgeous. I just need a proper event to wear it! I think that this dress is perfect to wear as a wedding guest but I just hate the fact that it is white because I don’t want to overshadow the bride. However, there’s no better color than this than white. Therefore, it just stays on my wishlist because I don’t know where to wear it!

How We Save Money on Food and Groceries

How do we save money on food and groceries? Simple, by preparing menu plans every week. It can be time consuming but it saves us a lot of money by buying only what we need, and avoids wasting unnecessary grocery items that we’ll either end up not cooking, or tossing unused items in the garbage. If you think about it, it may sound time consuming, but in general not only do we save money, but we also save a lot of time by not spending so much time in the grocery store or making extra grocery trips to decide what’s for dinner. Not only that, knowing ahead of time what to cook makes it more harmonious and fun for the whole family. I would say that menu planning alone helps keep marriage more harmonious!

Here are other advantages of planning of meals ahead and why I am a big proponent of it:

- Menu planning avoids wasting food.
- Menu planning allows us to use most of the things we have in the pantry. Before, we didn’t even know what’s in the pantry and things end up expired because we never knew we had them.
- Menu planning allows us to use most of the things inside our fridge.
- Menu planning allows us to keep fresh items in the pantry every week.
- Menu planning prevents us from buying things that we don’t need or end up not using.
- Menu planning saves us extra trips to the grocery store for the things we forget or lack in the recipes. It saves us gas and again, time.
- Menu planning promotes balanced meals and healthy eating. For example, today veggies, tomorrow chicken, next day pasta, etc.
- With menu planning, we are more aware of the food we eat.
- With menu planning we avoid repeating the same dishes every week. We were able to cook different dishes for 6 months without repeating any meals! The first time we repeated was not because we ran out of ideas but because we missed how good that food was.
- Menu planning encourages family involvement. Me and my husband take turns creating the menu plans so we are both involved in choosing what the family will eat. This avoids having someone not eat because someone doesn’t like the food that was prepared for dinner.
- Menu planning introduces us to new and undiscovered dishes we never thought we could do at home. We get to learn new dishes and eat restaurant-style food. It improves our cooking skills and we get to expand our culinary knowledge.
- Menu planning supports eating meals together because you look forward to eating and tasting the food together instead of buying food outside.

Astronaut Ice Cream

Going to a space museum is not complete without getting an Astronaut Ice Cream!

I recently visited California Space Museum to see the Endeavour space shuttle and my husband recommended to taste this Astronaut Ice Cream. Yes, it’s the real space food and now my new favorite. It’s definitely a must-try or else your missing out! . I don’t know if there are other flavors but the one I tried is the Neopolitan. It has strawberry, vanilla and chocolate flavors. It has this dry and crunchy texture but with awesome taste!
